Terms of Service
Boba Tea Merge · last updated 8 November 2026
The short version. Boba Tea Merge is free to play. Coins, boosters, themes and avatars are game items: they have no money value and stay in the game. If you buy coins, Apple or Google takes the payment, and their refund rules apply. Your progress is saved on your own phone, so deleting the app deletes it. Play fair: no cheating, no rude names. We keep changing the game to make it better. Nothing here takes away the rights the law of your country gives you.
Who we are
Boba Tea Merge is made by Ron Keren, an independent game developer (“we”, “us”). You can reach us any time at support@bobateamerge.com.
These terms apply wherever you play: the iPhone and Android apps, bobateamerge.com, and game websites that carry the game. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't play.
Playing the game
You may play Boba Tea Merge for your own fun, on any device you own or are allowed to use. The game, its bobas, art, music, levels and name belong to us. Please don't copy, sell, rent or change the game or its files, and don't take its art or code apart to make something else.
You're welcome to share screenshots and videos of you playing, including on channels that earn money from views. A link back to the game is always appreciated.
Coins and game items
You get coins, lives, boosters, boba themes and avatars by playing, by watching an optional advert, from gift codes and prizes, or by buying coins. All of them are game items:
- They have no money value. You can't swap them for real money, sell them, or move them to another player.
- You can use them only inside Boba Tea Merge.
- When you spend coins, they're gone. We can't undo a purchase made with coins.
Your progress, including your coins, is saved on your device. Deleting the app, or clearing your browser's site data, deletes it, and we can't bring it back. In the apps you can sign in with Apple or Google in Settings; that brings back the avatars and boba themes you bought with coins on a new phone, but not your coins or levels.
Buying coins
In the iPhone and Android apps you can buy coin packs with real money. You never have to: the whole game can be played for free.
- Apple or Google takes the payment. We never see your card or account details. The price you pay is the one the store shows you before you confirm.
- Refunds are handled by the store, under its rules. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google through Google Play's refund page.
- Coins didn't arrive? Email us with the date and the pack you bought, and we'll sort it out.
- Coins arrive the moment you buy them. Where your country's law gives you a right to cancel a digital purchase, that right ends once the coins are delivered, unless the law says otherwise.
If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you buy anything. Parents can block or approve purchases with the family settings on the phone (Apple's Ask to Buy, or Google Play's purchase approvals).
Adverts
In the apps, some buttons let you watch a short video advert for a reward, such as extra drops or coins. You choose when to watch; an advert never plays on its own. The reward arrives after the advert finishes. If an advert fails to load or stops early, we can't promise the reward. On game websites that carry Boba Tea Merge, the website may show its own adverts. What data adverts use is in our Privacy Policy.
Gift codes and prizes
We sometimes post gift codes on our social channels. Each code gives the reward it names, once per player, until it expires. Codes have no money value, and we can end a code early if it's being misused.
In the apps, the top three players of the weekly Endless leaderboard win coins. We check the top scores before paying. A score that no real game could reach is removed, and it doesn't win a prize.
Play fair
To keep the game fun for everyone, please don't:
- Cheat: change the game or its saved data, use bots or tools that play for you, or use a bug to get coins, items or scores.
- Choose an in-game name that is rude, hateful, pretends to be someone else, or shares anyone's personal details, including your own.
- Try to break into, overload or disrupt our servers.
If you do, we may hide your name, remove your scores and prizes, or block you from the leaderboard. Found a bug? Tell us with Contact us in Settings. We're grateful for every report.
Changes to the game
We update Boba Tea Merge often. We may add, change or remove levels, features, items, rewards and coin prices. We sometimes try a change with some players first, so for a while two players may see different coin prices in the game. The real-money price is always the one the store shows you.
We work hard to keep the game running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs. If we ever have to close the game, we will tell players in the game at least 30 days before.
Our responsibility
We provide the game “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost data or lost time, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for coins in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility the law doesn't let us limit, or takes away your rights as a consumer where you live.
Apple and Google
These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. They aren't responsible for the game, its content or its support; please contact us. If you got the game from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies as well, and Apple may enforce these terms as a third party. The rules of the store you downloaded from also apply.
Privacy
What the game collects, and how to turn it off, is in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top. We'll announce big changes in the game. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Israel, and disputes go to the courts of Tel Aviv. If you live in the European Union, the UK or another country whose consumer law protects you more, you keep that protection and can bring a claim in your own country's courts. Before any of that, please email us first: most problems are solved in one reply.
